Review
Bionic Commando Rearmed is a remake, a new version with updated graphics for the classic Bionic Commando appeared in 1988.
20 years later, arrives in an update that appears to be a must. Bionic Commando was actually really a great game, and this is confirmed since the first game session in Rearmed.
What we find in this revision is a carbon copy of the original title, which means mainly two things: the first, this game is controlled mainly by three buttons and second, that the difficulty is not exactly affordable for someone who has never played a video game. These two things help Rearmed to be seen like a first level nostalgic funny entertainment and, what is more, a ways to bring the games of yesteryear to the present, to the new generations of players who are eager for real challenges and games that threaten your patience.
Luckily not limited to a simple "patch" , but confirmed as genuine great game that has little or nothing to envy of the titles that are released today in the market. The story is not too complicated: with the demise of Super Joe, a legion sends its second best man, Nathan Specter, to find the soldier and rescue him from the clutches of a demented colonel. Simple, functional, they do not need much more to get down to what really has potential, which is the playable aspect. |
